CLUB BY-LAWS

By-Laws are rules and regulations enacted by the club to provide a framework for its operation and management. Along with the club's Constitution, they provide the foundation upon which the club operates in the best interest's of it's members. All registered members of Sharks are bound by the By-Laws as they stand from season to season.

CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Behaviour applies to all individuals and entities involved with Sharks Sporting Club Townsville Inc; and adheres to Touch Football Australia’s Code of Conduct.  The Core Code must be observed by all without exception. The role specific Supplement Codes are to be applied as additional requirements to the Core Code to be observed by individuals performing the stated tasks.

MEMBER PROTECTION

The main objective of our Member Protection Policy (policy) is to maintain responsible behaviour and the making of informed decisions by participants in this club. It outlines our commitment to a person’s right to be treated with respect and dignity, and to be safe and protected from abuse. Our policy informs everyone involved in our club of his or her legal and ethical rights and responsibilities.

Sharks Sporting Club Townsville Inc. welcomes new ideas and energy to the club, and thus welcomes nominations for positions on the Executive or General Committees. Of course, one doesn't need a title to help out, and we thank all our valued members who put their hands up when something needs doing.

CONSTITUTION

Sharks Sporting Club Townsville Inc. is incorporated under Qld legislation. Suffice to say, it is governed by a set of rules, commonly referred to as a "constitution"; alongside the club's respective By-Laws. A copy of the club's current Constitution may be obtained from the Office of Fair Trading.

GENDER DIVERSE INCLUSION GUIDELINES

Sporting Club Townsville Inc. Sharks is committed to providing a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for players, coaches, officials, spectators and members of the public associated with the club. We recognise and respect all sexualities, gender identities and sexes and believe that everyone has the right to participate in a safe, respectful and welcoming environment. These guidelines provide an important addendum to our existing Member Protection Policy.
